Happy New Year to our Worldwide Fans!

2020 was the year that all of us at Natsume had to work remotely from home from the middle of March throuout the year due to COVID-19 pandemic. I would like to express my sincere compassion for everyone who is going through a difficult time.

We are very fortunate that we had a good year with strong sales thanks to the support by our fans, especially Harvest Moon fans worldwide.

Harvest Moon: Light of Hope, Special Edition released in 2018 and the Complete Version released in 2019 have maintained very strong sales, both physically and digitally. This title has become the best-selling Harvest Moon title among all Harvest Moon titles released in the past. We expect that this title will continue to sell throughout 2021.

2020 was the first year that we released two indie titles, Cosmic Defenders, digitally for Nintendo Switch and Legend of Ethernal digitally for a variety of platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Steam, and Xbox One. We are expecting that the two new titles will perform well in the coming year as well.

We have a truly exciting title to be released in early 2021. As already announced, we will be releasing the latest Harvest Moon title, Harvest Moon: One World for Switch and PS4 on March 2, 2021 in the US and for Switch on March 5, 2021 in Europe by our long time publishing partner, Rising Star Games.

Harvest Moon: One World is the biggest Harvest Moon game in its history having wide areas and exciting villages to explore while experiencing a farming life. Harvest Moon: One World will also be available for the Xbox One in the US, with a release date announcement later in the year.

Our company mission for the past 26 years has always been, and will continue to be, to “Make Everyone Happy” with exciting, interactive entertainment software for the entire family. At Natsume, “Everyone” means all of our customers, Natsume employees, and all of the people we work with, such as our development partners, our distribution partners, retailers, financial institutions, media, and all of the people who are directly or indirectly connected with Natsume and our products.

We at Natsume are committed to continuing our corporate mission to “Make Everyone Happy,” and we appreciate your continued support.

Wishing “Everyone” a very happy, healthy, and wonderful New Year!

Sincerely,
Hiro Maekawa
President & CEO, Natsume Inc.

A Thanksgiving Message from Prez Hiro

Hello to all our Natsume fans all around the world!

This week is Thanksgiving in the US, and normally, we would be having our annual Natsume Holiday party soon. However, I think we can all agree this has not been a normal year.
Here at Natsume, we have many traditions among the staff of gathering together which we have had to put aside in 2020. As we are all working from home, the way we work and the way we communicate has changed.

But one thing we have not put aside is our commitment to Make Everyone Happy. We hope you’ve already had a chance to play our two Natsume Indie titles we’ve released this year. Our commitment to the Harvest Moon franchise also remains strong, and we’re working hard to make Harvest Moon: One World an incredible game for its launch in March 2021.

We want to take this time to thank all of our fans for their continued support during this global pandemic, and hope that in our own way, our games have been a source of joy in these uncertain times.

Whether you are new to the Natsume family or have been with us for many years, we are thinking about you! We hope you get the opportunity to spend time with family or friends safely this weekend and in the coming weeks leading up to the end of the year.

Announcing Harvest Moon: One World!

The latest entry into the long-running Harvest Moon franchise has been revealed, and it’s bigger and better than ever.

Harvest Moon: One World features a brand new way to explore a sprawling Harvest Moon world, and melds together the traditional hard work gameplay with the modern playstyle both young and veteran farmers have come to fall in love with.

Developed by Natsume, we’re excited to reveal Rising Star Games will once again be publishing in PAL territories, and distribution will be handled by Nintendo of Europe. We’re excited to be continuing our twenty year partnership with them.

Can you imagine a world without tomatoes, strawberries, or even cabbage? That’s the situation players will find themselves in in the latest entry in the Harvest Moon series. Only an old book gives hints of what once was… Buoyed by a mysterious discovery, however, players will find themselves setting out on an adventure that spans not only their hometown but the whole world! What kind of people and places await? From the gorgeous beaches of Halo Halo to the snowy mountains of Salmiakki, there’s literally an entire world to explore!

Fledgling and veteran farmhands will explore a world filled with new faces, unique locations, and manage their burgeoning farm within an all-new engine and updated graphics.

Harvest Moon: One World will be launching in 2020, so be sure to stay tuned to all our social media channels for your opportunity to learn more!
