Hello Earthlings! A new patch has arrived for our favourite elements of the universe, the Cosmic Defenders.
Changes include:
New Shield animations
New Win animations
Faster shot availability after digging or warping
Movement tweaks
Bug fixes to correct enemy behaviour in some levels
The occasional soundtrack / bonus track that didn’t play / unlock will now properly activate
Faster load times
D-pad movement added for all controller types

The day has finally arrived: Cosmic Defenders has launched on the Nintendo Switch!
Are YOU ready to protect the cosmos? Cosmic Defenders is a 2D fast-paced revolving shooter about a group of unconventional heroes who use the powers of nature in order to stop chaotic aliens from taking over the universe.
Cooperate or compete with other guardians, protect the galaxy from the wicked, and restore peace in three game modes: Story Mode, Survival Mode, and Versus Mode!
Take on these spaced-out invaders by yourself, or with some friends! Choose from 4 different characters, each with their own unique abilities! Can you bring peace to the cosmos?
• Story mode introduces the Cosmic Defenders as they fight against a group of aliens that want to steal the Tree of Life, a sacred tree that maintains the balance in the universe. Advance through levels over 4 galaxies, each with unique challenges and ways to play!
• Survival mode lets you enjoy new levels every time they play! Collect coins to purchase outfits with skill buffs!
• Versus mode lets you compete against your friends, rather than aliens, because Defenders need to train too!

After a slight hiccup, we’re excited to announce we have a new release date for our first Natsume Indies title, Cosmic Defenders.
Whether you plan to play solo or with some alien buddies in couch co-op, you’ll be able to blast into space on June 11th – that’s only a week away, hurray!

While we were excited to previously announce a release date and additional information for our upcoming Natsume Indies title, we have an update to share today. But first, some new screenshots for you to enjoy, including the first boss stage we’re revealing!
Due to the general slowdown and unique situation we all our experiencing during the current health crisis, Cosmic Defenders will not be releasing this April. Instead it will launch on June 11th.
If you missed it, the solo creator behind Cosmic Defenders Henry Fernández was recently interviewed at Nintendo Life! He also posted a column at Gamasutra discussing how to choose a publisher as an indie developer.
